Local drafts and snapshots

Drafts stay in this browser by default. Snapshot links and PNG files contain participant names and expenses at the time they were created. Editing a draft does not update those copies. Anyone receiving a snapshot can read its contents.

Optional online rooms

Creating an online room stores the group name, participant names, currency and expenses on the server. Edits reach the existing viewing link only after you use the online save button and the save succeeds. Rooms can be viewed and edited for 90 days from creation. Access stops after expiry, and expired records are removed during subsequent cleanup. Editing does not extend the expiry date.

Management and deletion

Viewing links are read-only. Editing, replacing the viewing link and deletion require the creator device’s secure management cookie or the private management recovery link. Keep the management link private. Permission keys are stored as hashes on the server.

Deleting a room removes its server record. Replacing its viewing link disables the old link. Local drafts must be cleared separately, and downloaded PNG files, snapshot links or copies held by other people cannot be recalled. The tool-share button shares only the public tool address.
